Outline Layout is on the Format menu. It formats the spacing between your headlines, and between headlines and document windows. Outline Layout also defines the inset distance from the left and right margins. The Outline Layout options are:
Clear Outline Formats Clears the current outline layout formats.
Single Space Creates single line spacing format.
1 1/2 Space Creates 1 and 1/2 line spacing format.
Double Space Creates double line spacing format.
Custom Space Creates custom spacing with the following options:
Space Before Defines the amount of blank line space before each headline or document window. Your distance can be inches, centimeters, or point/pixels — as currently specified in the Preferences command on the File menu. However, you can override the unit of measurement set with the Preferences command by typing a different unit of measurement. Type “in” or “ " ” for inches. Type “cm” for centimeters. Type “pt” for points/pixels. Type “li” for lines.
Space After Defines the amount of blank line space after each headline or document window. Your distance can be inches, centimeters, or point/pixels — as currently specified in the Preferences command on the File menu. Some lines may vary, depending on their font, font size, and font style.
Left Indent Defines the distance the headline will be indented on the left side, relative to its parent headline.
Right Inset Defines the distance the headline will be inset on the right side relative to its parent headline.
